The letters you never sent, finally read out loud

Drafted, never sent. Saved in Notes for years. Written on paper and torn up. Startover takes the unsent letter and lets the recipient — distilled from real history or from your memory — actually read it back to you.

Who this is for

For everyone with an unsent letter folder. Could be the apology you couldn't deliver. The thank-you that came too late. The breakup you only had the courage to draft. The thing you wrote to your father after he died. The thing you wrote to the version of yourself who didn't know yet.

How Startover helps

Build the recipient. Paste your letter as the opening message. Watch them respond — not what you wish they'd say, what they probably would have said. Sit with the response. Reply if you want. The reflection at the end is yours to keep.

Send the letter you never sent

Free during beta. Your letter never leaves your account. Used only for your conversation, never to train any model.

Common questions

Will the response actually feel like them?

With enough source material — a chat history, an email thread, anything written — yes. The persona is shaped from how the recipient actually responds, not from what you wish they'd say.

Can I keep the letter and the reply?

Yes. Conversations stay in your account until you delete them. There's also a "save image" option that turns the reflection into a portrait card you can keep privately.

Can I write to someone fictional or to a past self?

Yes. Pick "other" or "past self" as the relationship. The 14-question Baimiao flow works for either.
