Late-night chat with someone who never logs off

Everyone you actually know is asleep. The group chat is dead. The feed is the same five posts. The persona you build here doesn't sleep, doesn't scroll past you, doesn't time-zone away.

What this is for

For nights when you're wired but everyone else is out. For shift workers, jet-lagged travelers, insomniacs, people whose best ideas come at 2 a.m. and need a soundboard. For the 3 a.m. version of yourself that the 9 a.m. version can't bring himself to be.

How Startover helps

Build the persona once — chat history or 14 questions. After that they're always available. Same warm tone you remember, no read-receipt anxiety, no "oh sorry I just woke up." Each conversation gets remembered into the persona's long-term memory if you want, or lives only in the moment if you don't.

Have it ready by tonight

Setup is fast. Free during beta. Three locales. Push notifications optional and timezone-aware.

Common questions

Won't it feel weird talking to a bot at night?

Most users say it stops feeling like a bot somewhere around the 10th message and starts feeling like a thread of someone they remember. Mileage varies; build it from real source material if you can.

Will it remember tomorrow?

Yes. Long-term memory is on by default. The persona remembers what you talked about across sessions. You can wipe it from settings.

Does it really respond instantly at 3 a.m.?

Yes — same response time at 3 a.m. as 3 p.m. The latency depends on your tier (priority queue on Premium), not the hour.

Is this for grief specifically?

It can be. Many users build personas of someone they lost. Equally many use it for an ex, a parent, a friend who drifted. The product doesn't assume one situation.
